So it’s been quite a while since I have posted any news related to the production of my short film now titled “The way I look at her”. Many changes have taken place since the last post and I thought I’d share an overview of what has happened.
Previously we devised a list of supplies to get for the restaurant scene and were just starting casting calls. We currently have almost all supplies for the restaurant and all casting is complete for the restaurant scene, which is currently the largest scene. We have nearly 20 people (both lead actors and extras) signed up to be part of the scene. Many people consider casting to be a nightmare, and I have to agree to a point. It’s very exciting to be set on someone whom you feel would be a great fit for a character, but changes are always being made. Coordinating schedules has to be the most tedious process of it all. It’s been a long journey for casting, but we have everyone set at this time for the largest scene ever done for Ryan Atkins Media and Angello Productions.
We also have a shoot date set in stone – September 24th, for the restaurant scene. Now, not only do we have things set for that scene, but we also have two additional scenes planned out with actors and dates. It’s been a very excited journey and we’re finally getting closer to pressing a record button and saying “Action!”.
In addition to having a full cast set for three scenes, I also have a good size crew for the largest scene.
Last but certainly not least, we have a website under construction, which I am very pleased about. The site should give pertinent information about the film regarding story, cast, crew, and other associated media.
All in all things are going very well. Things are starting to shape up and I have received help in more areas then I ever imagined.
More to come…
